Forester

We are seeking an applicant that is capable of working in a collaborative environment, is personable, can engage with landowners. Duties would include:

-Writing Management plans

-Timber Marking

-Timber Inventory

-Conducting prescribed burns (willing to pursue South Carolina Certified Prescribed Fire Managers certification and lead burns)

-Organizing, Managing and Overseeing chemical herbicide Applications

-Organizing and overseeing Reforestation

-Organizing and managing various hand crew labor including storm clean up, trail maintenance, mechanical vegetation removal, etc.

-Performing Asset Allocations and Establishing Timber Basis

-Mapping/GIS with QGIS

-Willing to Learn

-Solving Problems

Forestry Registration in South Carolina and experience is preferred but not required. A willingness to learn, ability to solve problems, adaptability and flexibility are required.
